Yes, Linda Ikeji can buy a husband not a man

By Onwuasoanya FCC Jones

Linda Ikeji is on the spot again and for the usual reasons-her wealth and her fondness for flaunting
what she has, and also being misunderstood for that.

The forty year old Igbo lady is being trolled for saying that can she can buy a man, if she becomes desperate to get married. As much as I do not think it is anybody's business if someone hasn't got married till a particular age. Someone can actually take a conscious decision to remain single and die single, instead of getting into life threatening crisis in the name of marriage. Now to that Linda's post about having enough money to buy a man, I do not think she is completely wrong. In fact, you may be surprised some 'men' have started looking for ways to contact her and see if they can get married to her.
Women not worth the shoes on Linda's feet have been able to buy up husbands in the past and are
still buying husbands as you read this. Why? Because a lot of our men are becoming too lazy
to work. A lot of human beings whose only claim to being men is the okro like object dangling in
between their legs are desperate to be married to any woman who can provide food for them.

There are 'men' in today's Nigeria whose only ambition in life is to marry a woman from a rich
family, or a woman who has a good job. For such men, the prospect of marrying a Linda Ikeji will
be seized with both hands. In fact, they will visit a babalawo, slaughter cows, sacrifice chickens
and even sacrifice their mother for rituals to see that that happens. Recently, I was at the Imo Airport on my way to Abuja, and I saw a young boy who obviously took time to iron his clothes properly and takes good care of his skin. He goes from one girl to the other, chatting them up, collecting their numbers and putting up the best smiles he could muster.

His mission was obvious, he wanted a rich girl, or a girl or any girl that comes from a well-to-do
family. That is his ambition, and he is seriously working on it. Some of the people who have come here to criticize Linda for stating the obvious have read about young boys of less than thirty years,
getting married to expiring white late ladies who are older than their grandmothers, just because of
monies that are far less than what Linda can boast of.

Linda can buy one thousand husbands if she decides to, but she certainly can't buy a true man
as a husband. But, how many true men do we have in this world today?
